Trying to find Petrie

I am trying to find a Gordon Petrie who was in the Armed Forces in approximately 1979. I know that he is Scottish and is possibly from Dundee. I am guessing his birth year to be around 1951, however, it is a very rough guess and could be up to 10 years either side of 1951. If anyone can help please contact me. Many thanks!

I have an uncle Gordon. I am unsure as to whether he was in the Armed Forces. Certainly my dad (his brother) was in the RAF. He was born in Edinburgh and his grandfather was Italian. He has one of 5 siblings: Rodger, Margaret, Andrew, Tony and Gordon. As I am typing this I have a feeling that it doesn't really match your Gordon but I will send this message anyway.
