Our Gillespies came from Northern Ireland. Ann Gillespie married Willian Forsythe and with children Margaret & John went to Lanarkshire, Scotland. William was killed in the mines aged 26, Ann & children went back to Ireland, but returned about 10 years later. Her Brother, Hugh Gillespie & family also came to Glasgow, Scotland. Is there anyone who has a connection to Ann and Hugh Gillespie and might have more information re Ireland. |

do you have any dates? My husband's grandmother was Martha Gillespie. There are Hugh's in the family. Her father was Alexander. Lived in Hamilton, near Glasgow. I know some of the relatives were from Northern Ireland. |
