Member Since: October 2006 Posts: 0 Send Message	Trying to find information from 1914 onwards about Thomas Lowes or Lowis born 21/11/1887 at 40 Edkin St,Workington Cumberland. Married Hannah Foster 21/08/1911 at Workington. Children:- Brunskill(1911) Thomas(1914)

Member Since: September 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	My grandmother Elizabeth Anne Lowes, born 1881, came from Workington and had a large family - her father married twice and she had stepbrothers/sisters. Her sister Mary Ellen emigrated to New Zealand, another went to South Africa. Menty (not sure what this is short for) had a pub in Workington. Tommy Lowes (her brother or stepbrother) lived in Workington. He had a daughter called Sarah Lizzie, and she married Tommy Durham. They had two children Billy and Edna. My grandmother married James Pearson and had 9 children, my mother was the youngest. My aunt Isobel may know more and we will ask her.
