Trying to find Merritt

Hi
I am trying to find any one who knows of a Merritt Family who came from Durham in Sutherland. My grandfather was called Allan Merritt who had 4 sisters called Olive, Linda, Edith and Dothory (Dolly) and one brother called Morrison they were all born in Sutherland. Hello, I'm really hoping to find any relatives of Robert Merritt or Merrit who for many years owned a grocer shop in Horsham, West Sussex. I believe he passed away in the late 70's or early 80's. I also understand he has a daughter, but unfortunately I don't know her name. I would be really grateful if you could get in touch please. Thanks, Wendy
