Rebecca, you can always look on freebmd for births, deaths and marriages. Sometimes if you really cant find a birth ref you can sometimes find the sibling and send for that. Christine seems to have found a couple of possibles for you and I guess you know how to buy a cert for £7 from GRO online using the refs given. You could always choose the most likely and ask for them to check the father and mothers names before they send it which will only cost you £3 if its the wrong one. |

hi there is a 1881 census for a james fearon with the same parents place of birth is same also his age at time is 3 so he was born 1878, i had a quick look and there are two births registered for that year the first is for jan/feb/mar volume 10b page 603 and second is apr/may/jun volume 10b 630 hope this helps regards christine |

Hello, I am trying to find a record of my great grandfathers birth so that i can send off for his birth certificate, but i have had no luck so far & so would be grateful for any help! He was called James Fearon & he was born in Cumberland, Whitehaven around 1880. His parents were called Edward & Alice & in the 1891 census they lived at 11 Littledale Lane, Cumberland. James had 3 x brothers & 1 x sister. If anyone can shed any light on his birth entry I would be most grateful! Thanks Rebecca! |
