Trying to find Morgan

Hi I am trying to find out about my paternal Great Grandfather Thomas Morgan. I am aware that he was born around 1861 and was married in 1881 to Eliza West. They lived in Islington London and had six children (one of whom was my Grandad John who was born in 1889). I understand that Thomas Morgan was a housepainter and I have found details in the 1901 census about where he and the family were living. Unfortunately, I can find no record so far of his parents, siblings or place of birth. For the record, I do have details of his wife Eliza, who was one of several daughters of William West and Jane Merryweather. I hope someone can shed some light on Mr Thomas Morgan.
