Julie Hi
I'm a new researcher, there seems to be a commonality here as my Grandmother Katheleen Morrison married in Cape Town one Joseph Michael Owen who hailed from Australia. DOM 1904. "K" was born in Ireland, migrated to Australia, rejected by older brother of Joseph and came to SA. They lived in ThaBanchu and Johannesburg, Joseph was a stone mason and worked on our Union Buildings in Pretoria. Joseph, I thought was born in Wales, I may be wrong. Can you help?

Greetings to Owen researchers. I am trying to locate information about Thomas Owen, born Norwich, England in 1848, migrated to Australia possibly 1850's, possibly aboard ship 'Mary Ann'. Lived in Geelong, Victoria, Australia where he married Mary nee Waldon/Walden in the late 1850's. Their son Frederick Owen married Ada Rapkins Pearce in 1898 in Maryborough Victoria Australia. Some time after 1902 Fred and Ada went to live in Potchefstroom, South Africa, and I don't know what happened to them after that. Fred died in 1949, and Ada (also known as Adrienne) was still living at the time. Any information about any members of this family would be most welcome. Julie in Australia.
