Hello, I have married into the Jeal family and just begun to research their history. This is such an unusual name that I'm sure all Jeal's are related in some way. I would be interested in knowing more from anyone who has Jeal in their tree. Does anyone know about any Jeal's from Poland (following up something my husbands mother said to him, doesn't seem to be true) Claire Jeal (Branchett)

Hi Claire,
My name is Carole and my Grandmothers maiden name was Jeal. She married a George Watts from Biddenden in Kent. She died in 1974 at the age of 63. Any connection

I have to say there must be a lot more Jeal family than you thought. As I have just checked the name in deaths between 1984-2005 and there are 6 pages with 50 on each.

Hi,

My maternal 2nd great grandparents were JEAL.

Valentine Jeal (Born c1837 Orpington, Kent) married Catherine TEAPE (Born c1839, Wapping, Surrey) were married 2nd AUG 1868, Southwark, Surrey.

They had seven children, 5 daughters and 2 sons.
All born in London between 1865 and 1877.

Any connection?
