I have recenlty obtained my maternal grandfather's birth certificate and from that have now got the names of his parents and where they lived. From doing a 1901 census address search I have the following information, so wish to hear from anyone who can make a link with this info please! My maternal Grandfather's name was Sidney Stephen Lowther, born in Poplar East London on May 29th 1908. His mum's name was Harriet Mary ( nee Cheekly?) but dont quote me on it! His dads name was John Lowther. They also had other sons called Edward and John, and also a daughter Harriet. ( These would have been Sidney's brothers and sisters) They were living in Poplar East London in Northumberland Street at the time of the 1901 census, except Sidney and Harriet as they hadnt yet been born! I would love to thiken my branches as I know that Harriet ( their daughter) also married Ron and had a son called Ronnie. Ronnie married a woman called Jean! If any of this rings true with anyone then I'd love to hear from you! My Grandad's brother Edward married a woman called Bertha, and they also lived in East London. I hope to hear from someone!
