Hello All i have just joined this site with a view to hopefully trying to locate any members or information for my family tree..its not much to go on @ the moment but i am working on that in the meantime i would be grateful for any tips, information & help that you can give me.to help me get started..well here go'es !!
I Am Trying To Find Out any information or links on my Grandmother's & Grandfather's side of the family also their parents if at all possible?
I Know that my Nan was born @ CATELOCK STREET on 13/06/1901, her name was LILIAN-EMILY..her Fathers name was ( ANTON ) WILLIAM- HENRY-HOOKER, & as i understand it he was from LOOSE near MAIDSTONE KENT..(GREAT GRANDFATHER)Nans side.
My Grandfather was a CHARLES CORRIGAN & he was born in KILLEE,COA,BALLINAMALLARD,ENNISKILLEN, Co-FERMANAGH,his Birth was registered in DUBLIN as at that time IRELAND was all one..he was born on 19/04/1891
My GREAT GRANDFATHER'S name was PATRICK & i believe his trade/occupation was a farmer.
My GRANDMOTHER,S Maiden name was HOOKER.. & Her Mothers Name Was MARY ( POSSIBLY Known as POLLY )her Maiden name was WILSON.
My GRANDFATHER'S Mothers name was BRIDGET her maiden name was CONNOR, she was also born in KILLEE, COA,IRELAND.
My Grandmother LILIAN-EMILY married CHARLES CORRIGAN on 09/09/1922 in BERMONDSEY SE LONDON, & as i understand it his profession/occupation was given as a sign writer,
But our surname was known & spelt as CARRIGAN on their marriage certificate & so all my aunts n uncles were registered as CARRIGAN ! It wasn,t until the 2nd world war when my GRANDFATHER CHARLES-CORRIGAN applied to DUBLIN for a copy of his BIRTH CERTIFICATE that it came to lite that his real name was CHARLES CORRIGAN & not CARRIGAN.

I Think I Was Given My Grandfathers Date Of Birth Wrong It Was As I Had Previously Written 1869 Being The Year Believed Born But Since Then I Rearlise It Was Probably 19-04-1891, If It Was As I had previously stated ( 1869 ) Then That Would Mean My Grandmother Married Charles Corrigan 32yrs Her Senior Which Would be Wrong As There Was Only A 10yr Age Gap.
