Trying to find Durrant

Hi Hazel -- you should start your own thread! Just copy what you've put here into a post on the board itself, instead of as a reply to another post. Give it an informative heading, like

Arthur EE Durant b [year of birth] Woodbridge Suffolk

and then put just what you've put here -- except that you need to add some dates of birth/marriage, whatever you have, even if approx.

So actually, first, you want to go here:

http://www.freebmd.org.uk

and try a little searching. If you have an idea of when your grandfather was born, search for his name (just use his first and last names), for births in Suffolk, in a range of years that he would come within, and see whether you can identify it. You'll be needing to get his birth certificate to find his parents' names anyway, so may as well start now!
