Looking for anyone who is also researching this group: Robert Wilkinson ( may have also used the name Alfred) b. @ 1800/1801...per 1851 census was born Portsmouth but the family was living in Bristol. In 1841 he is in Thorne operating the Royal Oaks Inn & Tavern, in the Greens, where he also was in 1837 White's directory. His wife was Sarah, b. @1800 in Wales...she used the name Seymour in 1861 census as a widow. The following are known children: William Thomas, b @ 1830 south shields, Durham. married Selina Bonehill, 1850 in Aston. died 1872 Sarah Wilkinson, b @ 1832 Bristol, Gloucs. Alfred Wilkinson, b @ 1834 Nottingham (1881 census noted Mollinghouse Notts ?..unsure how accurate place of birth is as I cannot locate Mollinghouse). He had several marriages, beginning with a Hannah. Elenor (Ellen) b @ 1836 Yorkshire (per 1841 census) Robert Wilkinson b 1838 Thorne. married Eliza Ann Stevenson, a widow (using last name Walton). Married 1868, he was an engineer Margaret wilkinson b @8141, Thorne Mary wilkinson b @ 1843 Thorne beginning 1851-1861 the entire family changed last name to Wilkinson Seymour thanks |
