Find Ancestors

Dear Anthony, I have just started researching my mothers family (Steer) and have just received a partial family tree from an uncle who emigrated to New Zealand. Edward (1815) who married Sarah Napier in 1836 appears on it as the son of John and Sarah. My mother is descended from John's brother James (1802-1853) Please contact me if you need more info. best wishes, Steve

I'm looking for information on my Fathers family. He was Richard William David Steer, Born Battersea 13/08/1926, died Sherbourne Dorset 08/11/2004. His father was David Frank Steer and was a tram driver, his mother's maiden name was Vincent, and he had a Brother called David Frank from my Grandfathers first marriage. He served in the Kings Royal Irish Hussars in Korea, and in 1967 - 1970 the Zambian Army. I'm aware of his marriages to Betty Hammond, Gwen Thompson, and Norma Muckley, and of his other children Patricia and Christine, so don't need further info on them, but would like any names dates and info on his parents, siblings and grandparents. Since initially Posting this I've made a fair bit of progress... I now know that my Great Grandfather was Alfred William Steer b1855 and Married to Martha Gladstone, and My Great Great Grandfather was Edward Steer b circa 1815 in Richmond and Married to Sarah napier. Via this I've also been able to trace downwards quite some way through various Steer branches, but if anyone shares these names as their common ancestors in their trees I'd be interested to hear from them.
