Trying to find Gill

My great great grandfather, Charles Gill, was born in Weymouth, Dorset about 1818. On his baptism record his parents were named as Henry and Ann Gill. There is no recorded marriage in Dorset for a Henry Gill to Ann ? that fits in with Charles's birth. Henry was a cement maker and died in Weymouth in 1831 aged 57 so must have been born about 1774. Ann died in 1845 aged 67 so was born about 1777. She is shown on the 1841 census for Weymouth as being born 'out of county'. I would be very pleased to hear from anyone researching a Gill family who thinks we may have a link. I'm afraid I don't know Ann's surname or where either Henry or Ann was born - just that it wasn't Dorset! Kind regards, Sue Irvine

Hi there my Grandad was one Frederick Gill he married Constance and they had 3 Children Christine, Michael and Susan. They spent most of their lives in North Finchley London and their last few years in Stevenage Hertfordshire. I am one of michaels children. Unfrtunately I lost touch with them a long time ago and this is the only information that I have about them... Good luck with your search if you think I can help at all please dont hesitate to contact me.. Charlotte.

forget to tell you - reason i thought there might be a link is that my Grandads name was Frederick Charles Gill and he also gave the name Charles to Michael my dad... so wondered was it the name being carried on... your Charles Gill could be a parent / Grandparent to one of the Gills that I know....
