hi, I'm from a Marshall family but i don't know much about them yet as I've only just started doing this. i know my grandmother was Victoria Marshall but all i know of her is that she had a couple of kids and lived in London somewhere, one of her sons is Micheal John Knott she never married his father. i know my great grandmother was a Marshall but i don't know anything of her apart from she lived in Petworth all my life, |

I'm new at this game - so am not sure how to go about things I am looking for any information about the |Marshall family from Dumfries. My Gandfather Thomas Marshall wasa wine merchant and he owned horses as well as some property in Dumfries. His first wife was Janet Latte MURRAY they had four girls Beatrice, Belle, Jean and Nettie. Janet died aged 21 in 1918. He then married Helen (nee Kirkwood) Williamson fron Council Bluffs Iowa and they had two daughters Maureen hewitson and Kathleen. They lived at 8 Victoria Terrace. After Maureen died aged 5 (1927)they moved to Brighton \I believe in 1935?? Many thanks Jane |
