Looking for descendants of James Dougan and Annie Crossan from Scotland. James Dougan was born 27 October 1879 at Newfield, Ruthwell, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. On 31 December 1908 he married Annie Crossan (daughter of Peter Crossan and Mary Marshall) in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Shortly after the marriage, probably in 1909. James and Annie emigrated to Queensland, Australia. Once in Australia they had (at least) 4 children all born in Brisbane: William born 24 May 1910; Mary Marshall born 02 April 1912; Elizabeth Roper born 24 December 1913 and Robert James born 01 June 1915, Robert died 22 August 1944. Annie's family (her parents and brothers and sisters) followed her and James to Australia, probably around 1912/13. One of Annie's brothers, Peter Crossan, died in France during WW1.
