Aunty Dorothy actually mentioned who ellen married whilst we were chatting i think she mentioned that the telfords were from currock end of carlisle.

Hi, my name is Anne Pate and I am trying to find the marriage of my Gt. gt. grandparents, James McDermott and Ann Walsh. James was born in Ireland c.1839 and Ann (nee Walsh) was born in Durham c.1848/9. Their first child (my gt. grandmother) Ellen Margaret McDermott (married name Telford) was born in Carlisle, Cumbria in September 1866, when Ann was aged only 17 years. They then went on to have 10 more children, Bridget (born in Scotland) Mary Ann (Carlisle); Bernard and Catherine (born Cockermouth) Jane, James, Margaret, John, Elizabeth Clara. James died in Carlisle aged 88 years on 1.2.28. Ann died in Carlisle on 9.9.27 aged 78. I'd be really grateful for any information Thanks.
