Daniel Lambert was well known in Stamford Lincolnshire as a very large man, over 52 stones. There is a portrait of him in the George Hotel. The local information Centre should be able to tell you more. Other than this I know nothing about him, sorry.

Looking for any information please on a Hannah Lambert born 1826 died 19 October not sure of what year, married William Memmott. I have a piece of paper from my grandmother that says Hannah was the sister of Daniel Lambert the English Giant born 1774(?) and died in 1809. Hannah married a William Memmott and had at least two sons, James born 26 November 1851, Sheffield (bootmaker) and Charles (Australian Champion Billards Player). Hannah and William and family emigrated to Austrailia c.1859. James married a Jane Francis Attridge and had sixteen children.
