Hello Sheila,
There is a birth for Emma Maltby in 1841 in Southwell.....so it looks as though she never married Alfred's father but married Isaac Bee in 1866.
it's probable that Alfred was illegitimate

I am trying to find about my grandmother.
She was a maltby, and her fathers name was Alfred Maltby, born around 1860.
Can you please give me any information on the maltbys. I no nothing at all.

I am trying to find the father of Alfred Maltby born in Southwell in 1861 his mothers name was Emma. There is no record of his father many thanks Sheila
