I've just started researching my husband's family tree when I stumbled upon your post and happened to mention it to my mother in law who hails from the Llanelly Hill/Blaenavon area. Her father was Brinley Davies (son of Alf) and she remembers he had an aunt Mary and uncle Walter Yates and she still has Yates relatives in the area. Her grandparents also lived in a farm on Waunavon/Garn Yr Erw. My mother in law's name is Marlene. Please let me know if you think there is a connection. Rhiannon

Member Since: June 2004 Posts: 9 Send Message	Looking for a connection to tie up the following family members. My g'father was Walter Yates who married Mary Ellen Davies in Aug 1923. Mary Ellen's father was Thomas Davies married to Ellen Davies and living at Waun Wern, Waunavon, Llanelly Hill, Brecknock. My g'father Walter had several siblings Harry, Arthur, Albert, Freddy, Joseph, Carrie, Gladys & Marjorie/Margaret. Margaret was his blood sister, but I believe the others were all half-siblings born after Walter's mother Rachel married a second time to Nicholas Price. Any info or if you are a relative please get in touch perhaps we can link up the family trees. Rosemarie
