Dawn,

You are descended from Thomas RATHBORN (1827-1906) & his first wife, Charlotte CLEMENTS (1825-1883).

Thomas RATHBORN's family came from Norfolk, where they had used the surname spelling since the middle of 18th century.

The change is the spelling of the surname may have been nothing more than the parish clerk's transcription in the East Rudham church registers.

I have researched the whole of this RATHBONE > RATHBORN family tree, and would be happy to share information with you regarding your line.

My family changed names from Rathbone to Rathborn. Trying to find the split and why?
