I am very new to this so please bare with me. I am looking for any further information regarding my mothers side. I have a Charles William Motley born 15/8/1915 at dogdyke, married Betsy Shinn. Charles Henry Motley born 1877 Haven Bank Coningsby married Alice Ketteringham 1909. Then married Miss Wilsford. Charles Motley born 1833/34 Haven Bank Coningsby. Married Mary Dawson. Hi Kirsty,i have just had a hit with your name re the Motleys.Charles was our 1st cousin 5 times removed,very distant,but our great grandfatherx3was a "Frederick Motley"he married a "Matilda daft".i see that your name went on in 2005,but we have only been doing this side of the family a few months,we do have quite a lot on the Motleys back to 1635.your Charles i only managed to get off the Census last night.i guessed that his wife might be Dawson.but only put her down as a possible.if you are still interested i can let you look at our tree and see if there was anything that would be of use to you,then if you think it would help us you may let me see yours.i would have approx 270 names that apply to Charles-1877,depending how wide you want to go,but i would think except for us you may have most of the names.anyway good luck

Hi,

I am indirectly related to the Motleys from Boston, Lincolnshire if that is any help. My side ended up in Shipley, W. Yorkshire after Thomas William Motley moved there from Boston. Contact me if there is any relevance.
