I am trying to trace my family as best I can. My grandfather Raymond Ballinger lived in Chepstow, and died 1982 approx, he serve din the army during ww2 and worked in avonmouth, Bristol till he retired. My gran Florence still lives there. I am looking for any family members or anyone with any historical details that may help. They had two children John my dad, and a daughter Rose who died young. I have been previously told that the family may have originated in the Cheltenham area and there is some suggestion that they were immigrants from Germany around the end of the 19thC beginning of 20th C. i do not know how true this is. Any help would be gratefully recieved........... steven.
