Trying to find any Wakefield who were canal boatmen in the North Staffs area. I have a John Wakefield in my tree born 1826. His father was Joshua. Johns sons William, John and David all were boatmen. Many thanks Val Pepper |

My Maiden name was Wakefield and allthough imnot sure about the Norths Staffs link i remember my grandfather talking about his relatives being canal boat men, i will ask my dad as he has done a family tree back to about 1800 |
