Hi Dianne,
You have two Hammonds out there in Sydney Au: with you. go by the name of Derek and Peter. Their Father was Harry from Leytonstone London, their Mother was Nellie Howton also of Leytonstone. I believe Harry's Father was called John but not sure.

Don't really believe there is a connection, but it's nice to know you have some namesakes close by, I hope it helps in some way. Ernest

Hello from Sydney, Australia. John Hammond b1839 Barby, England, married Julia (maiden name unknown) and they had two children James Hammond b1864 and Sarah Hammond C1866. Julia died in 1876, John married Charlotte Hammond (maiden name unknown) and immigrated to Australia. trying to find parents and siblings of John Hammond. thanks.
