Hello Howard
I`m also looking for Alford`s` in that area. My farther was William Henry Alford born 1909 in Clerkenwell & died 1943.
His farther was Robert Grenville Alford b 1876 in Islington, married Kate Dyer 1904 & d 1921.
I`m looking for his father & mother & siblings of both Rorbert & William.
I think we may be on different trees,but it`s worth a try

Looking for any info on Alford line in Holborn, London area in mid to late 1800's. John Alford m. Mary Ann Starkey probably in late 1880's had children May Jane b. May 2, 1892 and Helena Catherine b. Feb 8, 1895. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
