I am trying to find details of HARRY FIRTH (b. c1851) who was married to Elizabeth Barker on the 5th August 1871 in Yorkshire. They had 5 children (SIDNEY, GEORGE, THOMAS BARKER, ANNIE and ALICE). Harry's father was JAMES FIRTH. Any information relating to Harry's ancestors or children would be much appreciated.

Hello Elspeth,

I am a descendant of Walter Firth (Harry's brother). I believe James had 6 children (Ada, Walter, Harry, Sidney, Fanny & Alice). James wife was Sarah Howe. Harry and Elizabeth had (I believe) 8 children although most died very young (James, Annie, William, Alice, Thomas, Charles, Albert & Edith). Only Annie, William, Alice and Thomas survived although William died aged 18. I think Thomas married Elizabeth Thomas and had a son called Thomas. Some family photgraphs came to light very recently and on the back of one states Great Uncle Harry. Do you have any more information of this line of the family?

Regards

Andrew
