I would be interested if anyone would have any information concerning the Ashmole family around the Burton area. My grandfather William Thomas born in 1889 and registered in the sub-district of Tutbury is reputed to be the eldest of 15. His siblings included Ada,Alf, Jack and "Pem". He lived on the Burton Waterworks which has now been largely swallowed up by the Toyota Works at Burnaston.Many thanks, Kate Ashmole.
