Trying to find any relatives of Delphine Sheila Elkins Thompson (nee Keen). Born 3rd July 1917 in Stockwell, London and raised in the same area. She was one of four siblings - Felicia (married name Chalmers), Richard (Dick) and Kenneth (Ken), but I believe they had half-brothers/sisters as their father had been married before. Don't know his Christian name but nan's mother was called Violet. Apparently, nan's father was a musical man and played the trumpet, if this helps?! The family ran a shop in Stockwell, selling groceries, on the site where the Murcell Estate now stands. Nan was first married to Harry Rowlinson in her early 20's but, tragically, he died young from TB. Nan married my grandad, Frederick Thompson, after the war and they had two children - Pauline (my mum) and Raymond. Would love to hear from anyone who may be related or knows someone who might be! |
