There was an Alfred Worboys born in Hitchen in 1845 but his parents were William and Susan. Thomas and Ruth were his Grandparents.
Thomas and Ruth had a son called Alfred and he was born in 1827 and married Fanny Cooper Craft.

There is also a Alfred Worboys who was christened on the 27 sept 1848 in Hitchen. His parents were Thomas and Sarah (smith) married 4 feb 1847 in Hitchen

Trying to find birth of Alfred Worboys born Hertford around 1848 and the marriage of his parents Thomas and ??????.

Sherwood (Kent); Jesson (London); Worboys (Herts)
