Trying to find Eden

I am trying to find the parents of Joseph Eden, who married Martha Brackley at Send & Ripley on 4/4/1790. Joseph was a coach builder, and he and Martha lived in Richmond upon Thames, and had 9 children (Charles, Charlotte, George, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Martha, Joseph, John and Richard James), all born between 1791 and 1809, all christened at St Mary Magdalene, Richmond upon Thames. Joseph died in Mitchell's Almshouses, Richmond, in 1851. I believe Joseph to have been born around 1760 (as was Martha), but have no idea who his parents were, or where he was born, so do not know where to start looking on the IGI. The couple's children went on to have large families in the Richmond area. I am descended from their daughter Charlotte, who married James Bunting in 1826. James and Charlotte's son Joseph Eden started a grocery business in Turnham Green/Chiswick, which was continued by his children and grandchildren. I would be grateful for any relevant information about Joseph Eden. Sue Edwins |
