I am a mather from salford, but i have not heared of a roy, or a mayor,but i will ask my mother she is 86 and she should know |

I am tracing the Mathers from Salford, Greater Manchester. My father was Roy Mather and his grandfather was Mayor of Salford in the 1800's and was known as the 'Peace Mayor'. His family came from Tabley, Cheshire around 1770, but then information dries up. Anyone else looking at this line of Mathers that can add any further info? |
