I am writing from Australia & I was trying to post search for Samuel Flatan & came across your entry on Flatau.... We have been trying to locate info on our g g grandfather Benjamin Leon Miers who migrated here about 1847. The info we have recently received all but confirms that these people are Ben's family. He was listed on the 1841 English Census as a 5 year old. We believe that his mother Jane Meyer (nee Woolf) married Samuel Flatan in 1837 & the document tells us she previously married Leon Meyers in November 1835. The occupants of Well St, Aldgate are recorded as - Samuel Flanter, 24, Sophia 25, Benjamin Miers 5, Frances Flanter 3, Sophia 2, & a Woolf Flanter 25. Are any of these names familiar to you? We have so many questions & hope you can help us. Jennie Richmond

Member Since: November 2002 Posts: 13 Send Message	FLATAU - (sometimes appear as FLATAN) -all born London. Have gone back to 1819. Any descendants of siblings out there? I only have data on my direct line. Also researching - BARKER, RODWAY, COHEN, WOOLF - London - all married to my Flataus. Any info gratefully received.
