the name Nance comes from denmark, i have this name in my family tree, it was my paternal grandmothers name.A while ago i met a man who was the spitting image of my little brother,the man then told me i looked like his sister.After talking he told me that his granmothers name was Dance, we talked some more and found that we both had family in Norfolk, he told me that many years ago people from Denmark and surrounding areas came to Norfolk as it was the nearest point from a to b by ship.He also said that if you look around the grave yards most of the names are the same or similar to ours! |
