Isabella Dunbar. I'm trying to find when my husband's great aunt went to Canada. She was the 3rd born child of Duncan Dunbar & Susanna Cowie on 8th June 1858 at Loch Dhu Nairn Scotland. She is on the 1861 & 1871 censuses in Nairn then on the 1881 & 1891 censuses as a Tablehand-Domestic at Perth East Church Perthshire then nothing until a Headstone in Nairn Cemetry. This reads 'In Loving Memory of Annie Dunbar Died at Nairn 11/4/1942 aged 70 ALSO her sisters ISA Died MONTREAL, Canada 5/2/1942 aged 83 and Susan Died at Perth 1/12/1914 aged 51 - Erected by their four Grand Nieces and Grand Nephews' We cannot find when she went to Montreal, whether she married before she left or whether she married when she got there or whether she remained a spinster. Any help would be appreciated. Nola Dunbar
