Alexandrina Allan Also known as Alice Allan This is my maternal grandmother who married James Venters Murray in Verdun, Montreal, Canada in 1911. My mother (Ellen Murray) was born in Verdun in 1912. We have no trace of Alexandrina’s movements after the death of James Murray in 1913, other than my mother was sent to Govan, Glasgow to be raised by Tam Burns & Eliza Murray – who was her aunt. My mother did have some Allan relatives who moved to the Cleveland Ohio USA in the late 1940’s/early 1950’s, their names were Dave & Mary, and I think Mary was an Allan. Any news of Alexandrina Allan would be greatly appreciated. |
