Member Since: April 2007 Posts: 0 Send Message	John Allen Born 1841/1842 Birmingham Found on 1861 census aged 19 living on Reform Row Elsecar.Married Ann Beardshall from Elsecar in 1863. Johns' father is named as Thomas Allen, occupation, 'Independancy' I have been unable to trace Johns parents on census and am having difficulty in tracing his registration of birth. Please contact me if you have any information regarding this family and also if you have any experience of coming across this term when an occupation notice is required,as I am not quite sure what it means.
