Trying to find Symonds

The earliest name I have so far on my tree is William Milbourne. His daughter Anne married Edward SYMONDS in 1702 in Dinnington, Somerset. Anne died in 1745 in Dinnington. Does anyone know anything earlier about them? My information comes mostly from a family tree dating from 1901, which was handed down to me by my father, Alan Whitmore Symonds Jones, and it is the Symonds family that interests me most at the moment. Anne and Edward lived in Dowlish Wake. I will be most grateful for any further information, especially if it takes me back another generation or two! Thank you. Jenny
