Looking for information on my great grandparents John Hosford/Horsford SHORT and Ellen TUCK. John was born May 28, 1845, Maidenhead, Buckingham. His father, Joseph Short, was born c 1824 and was a signalman. John and Ellen were married June 24, 1877, St Giles in the Field, Middlesex. Their known children were: Ellen Elizabeth Short (Nell), born May 8, 1878, Surrey Nell married Bert Corney Alice Sarah Hosford Short, born June 29, 1880, Middlesex Alice married John Osgood John William Hosford Short, born December 25, 1882 Louisa Short, born January 5, 1885 Louisa married Mr. Cook Elizabeth, born May 19, 1887, St. Giles, Middlesex Elizabeth married Mr. Norris John Richard Short, born June 8, 188?
