Martha Hicks married Joseph Henry Walmsley 1872.Martha's father was Charles Hicks, Occupation,Farmer. Joseph's parents were Henry Benjamin & Anne Walmsley Occupation 'Malster'. Joseph and Martha's occupations on there son's Marriage certificate was also listed as ' Malster' and were Landlords of the Somerset Hotel, Somerset Place, Stepney, Middlesex. Martha & Joseph lived together and had children prior to there marriage. the ones that I have found are Henry George b1860,Mary M b1862, & Caroline L b1863, all registered under the Walmsley surname. Henry arrived in New Zealand in 1879 and married Anna Drought in 1882. I would appreciate any information available on any of the above people |
