Trying to find Shoult

Trying to find anyone who can tell me anything about a family called Shoult. Know very little. The family lived in Bermondsey London. The father was a soldier. During the war the whole family evacuated to Lewes East Sussex. Don't know how many children in all except there was at least 2 daughters, once called Margery Joan. Margery married a John Light of Lewes East Sussex, and went on to have four children Roderick / Joanna / Debbie / Christina. Fathers first name unknown but believe second name to be joseph - believe this is what he was known as. had at least two brothers both younger - all joined the army. Joseph fought the Boer War - was invalided out because of mustard gas after the first world war. Have since learnt that Margery Joans Grandfather and family were water lightermen on the Thames - this means that they would go out onto the river in flat bottomed boats / barges to unload and bring ashore cargo from boats/ships that could not dock along side the river. Also think that Lillian Fuller who married Joseph did not come from London - apparantly she was very well spoken - very strict with how to speak - table manners - etc. it is thought that she may have been a governess / nanny that had come into London with a family that she worked for - who knows?!! - does this throw any more light on the Shoult family - anything you can tell me would be great - thankyou and Regards Karen
