I am trying to find ancesters of WILLIAM NEWMAN born c.1808 Portland Dorset. He was a seaman and master of the vessel Marnhull as shown in the 1861 census. He married Ann Tatam and they had 8 children and 25 grandchildren. I am also looking for decendents of some of these grandchildren and great grandchildren. One son Robert a stonemason went to Gosport Hampshire where he married a Mary Ann Thick, and another son Thomas who married an Elizabeth took his family to Birkenhead Cheshire.
