I'm trying to find details of John Henry Friend born 1878 in Ecclesall Bierlow, and his mother Ellen Friend nee Fox also born in Ecclsall Bierlow in 1842. I have found his father in the 1881 census in Hillsbrough barracks but I can find no reference to wife and son anywhere. Thanks Pat
