Hi! I'm trying to find any information on my Gt, Gt Grandfather. His name on his marriage certificate says 'Garret or Gerald Barry'. I'm guessing the Gerald bit was due to anglicising his name. According to British 1901 census records he was born in Limerick in about 1865, (my Mum says she remembers something being said about Castleconnell). I know he was a groom (horses obviously!!) and met & married my Gt, Gt Grandmother, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Adams, who I believe was working for a family in either Mayo or Galway. Their marriage certificate says they married on 17th January 1888 and mentions Milltown, Tuam, Addergoole & Liskeevy. Any info gratefully received! Thanks Heidi |
