Trying to find out more about my Rees family from aberdare. My Great Grandfather was Timothy Rees and was one of 16 children! His mother and father were Morgan and Elizabeth and lived at 7 Stag St, Trecynon at the time of the 1901 census. Morgan's parents were john & Elizabeth. Most of Timothy's siblings died in infancy but there must be someone out there who is descended from the Rees line. John & Elizabeth also lived at 51 Harriet Street and Old Mill Street Aberdare and all men in the family worked as colliers or coal hewers. The name Lodwick comes up in the family alot, Timothy had a brother and an uncle caled Lodwick/Lodwig. My Grandmother Megan rees doesn't remember muh but she seems to think that Morgan was a Preacher at one of the Chapels in Aberdare. Rees is such a nightmare to research as it is so common so any information would be fantastic! Thanks, Angela Coggan
