im trying to find information on yules born in orkney. alexander yule d.o.b unknown married margaret hellen flett born 1886 died 1961. lived in toab nr kirkwall, they had 8 children...sandy, Adam Jane, william, margaret(peggy), bert, jim and edna yule. Adam yule married May (surname unknown) and had 2 sons..Brian and alistair(ally). they lived in aberdeen. brian and Ally were in the merchant navy then worked on oil rigs. Jane thompson Yule married Robert Pennel Ross d.o.b 1907 died 1966. they lived in Dalkieth. they had two children George ross d.o.b 13.09.40 and Margaret helen flett ross d.o.b 29.06.43. Margaret (peggy) Yule married Alec Brown ( i think) they had possibly 3 children Irene, Alison and Alec. Lived in Inverbervie at one point and ran the Salutation Hotel there. Jim Yule lived in Harray, Orkney (dont know much about him.) Edna Yule married Jackie Groat who worked on or with lifeboats. Sandy yule was married ( dont know who to tho) and i think had 2 daughters one of which is Margaret. Dont know anything about william(billy) or bert, one i think was in army and the other in the navy. If anyone has any information please please get in touch. Thank you Beverley |
