Trying to find Coverdale

many thanks for all help received in looking for great grandfather, the info i have to date is John G Coverdale b 1856 in south sheilds married Margaret Smith b 1858 in approx 1880 they had 6 off spring Edith 1881 George 1885 Ethel 1883 Robert 1889 Jane A 1892 William 1898 my grand father none of the info i have been kindly given ties in... Johns mother appears to be Eleanor but Elliot as the surname b 1816 but i have been told his father was Michael b 1817 yet there is no mention of a Michael.. they had 2 sons John and Robert .. maybe michael is actually John... info coming in say`s there was a daughter mary b 1845 approx but this would be some 7 years before any marriage... did she die? the last census detail 1861 has her at 16 any clues... thank you kindly Carol |
