I am trying to trace the family of my mother. Andrew Eddleston was born in roughly 1818,he married and fathered 3 children, Ann 1838, James 1846, George 1853 all born in the Calais area. He is a Lace anufacturer on Georges marriage certificate 1876 They appeared on the 1871 census, Ann in Nottingham as a servent ? Nanny to the family of Frederick Topham. James in Deptford as a lodger where he married a local girl, they were not on the 1881 census but repappear in 1891 1nd 1901. George, my great grandfather appeared in sheffield 1871 aged 17, as a clerk then became a brush maker. He met and married a local girl and died in Sheffield about 1920 Does this mean anything to anyone? I think Andrew died in the 1860s |
