Hi, ELIZABETH MATTHEWS born c.1819 Ipswich Suffolk. Can anyone help me find the birth record for Elizabeth who would have been my 2x great-grandmother? Census records say she was born 1819 Ipswich, but I have looked up the birth records for Ipswich parishes to no avail. It may be she lived in one of the villages near to Ipswich. Elizabeth married John Brown at London in Dec 1837, and after their marriage they lived in the Shadwell/Wapping area of east London, what is now known as Docklands. John was a twine spinner. He was born Norwich Norfolk c.1815. Their marriage certificate shows Elizabeth's father as William MATTHEWS, farmer. Grateful for any help on this one. Jan
