Any relatives (nieces or nephews or their descendants) of Fred Cross (my grandad), born in 1901, but raised in Blackburn orphanage. (Lancashire) Family legend had it that his father was blinded in a horse related accident, so some of the children had to go to the orphange. The 1901 census shows a Thomas Edward Cross in his early 30s working as a Drayman for Thwaites in Blackburn (apparently living in Mellor). This fits with what I know of my great grandad. Any further info, or relatives of Thos Ed Cross who could confirm this would be great.
